Background

Dreamworld Soccer is simply to have fun, there are no fees and as a result there are no prizes(sorry) except for braging rights. This league will be based on the regular season play of MLS. This is the first year of this league so we ask you to bare with us and we reserve all rights and reserve the right to terminate the season at any time. Dreamworld will be broken down into two divisions of 12 teams. There will be and Eastern Conference and a Western Conference. There will be no competition between the two leagues until the Championship game. The Championship game will be between the Eastern Conference playoff winner and the Western Conference playoff winner. We will determine the playoff schedule later on in the season. The AP Commisioner will be the final ruler on any trade or transaction.

  • Roster
  • Your roster must have 15 players on it at all times. You must have 2 goalies, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, and 3 forwards. You must keep this format at all times. You must always have 15 players and you must always have the required amount of players at the positions.

  • Starting Lineup
  • Your starting lineup will consist of the before mentioned: 1 goalkeeper, 3 fullbacks, 4 midfielders, 2 forwards, and a wild card player(from any position of your choice). Your lineup will be due on every Thursday 9 pm PST before the weekend games. During the weeks which there is a weekday game starting lineups will be due on Tuesday 9 p.m. PST unless otherwised mentioned on the main page. If a lineup is not submitted the lineup for the previous week will be used. You must use the lineup submital form to submit your lineup, or send e-mail to wynalda@softhome.net

  • Schedule
  • The schedule will be determined after the draft and all players will be notified of the schedule via the AP Mailing List that we will ask all of you to sign up for. There will be one game a week

  • Draft
  • The draft will be done via e-mail. The draft will start a week after the league is filled. The draft order will be picked completly at random. The draft will consist of each team sending me a list of 12 players that they wish to have, daily. They will rank those players from 1-12. When their pick comes the Commisioner will pick their highest ranked player still left on the board. The 1st round will go picks 1-12. Then the 2nd round will go backwards 12-1, and then so on and so forth. Each pick must be submitted by 12 am. PST on each day of the draft. If a pick is not submitted or not submitted in time the Commisioner will select a player at random for the team. The commisioner is not a good judge of talent so be forwarned not to miss your pick,

  • Trades
  • Each team will be allowed 10 trades per season. The trades can be done at anytime during the week, but any trade done after a Thursday will go in affect the following week. The commisioner has the final say on any trade but chances are the trade will not be rejected. All trades must be for the same amount of players and players who play the same position. You must have 2 goalies, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, and 3 forwards.

  • Free Agents
  • Any player that is not drafted by a team is considered a free agent. Thus they may be claimed off of waivers. Each team can submit a bid to pick up two players off of waivers a week. Waivers request must be submitted on Monday and the results will be posted on Thursday of that week. Waiver request will go on a first come first serve basis. We do not give special privelages to teams who suck. If you request a forward you must submit one forward off of your current roster that you wish to cut. You must have 2 goalies, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, and 3 forwards.

  • New Players to MLS
  • Players that the MLS signs or add on later in the season will be considered free agents and any free agent can be claimed off of waivers. This will happen on a first come first serve basis meaning that if Team A request Roberto Baggio(yeah right) before Team B, even though Team B is worse that player will go to Team A.
